The Agriculture Policy Institute (API), formally Agriculture Prices Commission (APCom) is an attached department of Ministry of National Food Security & Research, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad. Agriculture Prices Commission was established in 1981 and re-constituted as Agriculture Policy Institute (API) in 2006 with the approval of Prime Minister of Pakistan.

• The Institute is providing input to the Government on Minimum Guaranteed\Support Price policy  for wheat crop, Intervention Price for Sugarcane, Indicative Price for Seed Cotton and Rice Paddy, Providing Technical input on Trade related Issues
• Providing Technical input and support as focal point to the Ministry of National Food Security & Research on matter related to the Food Supplies Committee on Defense Planning, Publications of Price Policy analysis reports for major crops.
